I’ve been using another brand of non-toxic non-petroleum lubricating oil for quite a while, and wanted to give this PlanetSafe lubricating oil a try. It’s a much different formula, but like the other one I use, seems to be safe and has very little odor. As far as I can find, it’s a biosynthetic formula with nanotechnology, and bonds with metal. It also seems to penetrate metal and lift corrosion and dirt up, so you can wipe the object clean.I’ve been using it for many applications over the past few days, including a couple of bike chains. After applying it, letting it sit for a few hours, then wiping it off, it does make the chain look much nicer, and leaves behind a thin layer of lubrication that doesn’t seem to attract dirt. I used some on my vintage motorcycle’s mechanical tachometer and speedometer cables, and especially the speedometer is functioning much better It had been jumping previously, but now it’s smoothed out quite a bit. I also used it to lubricate the blades of my hair clippers, and they immediately began running faster. The oil that came with them tends to gum them up, but this product cleaned them like new!As far as the cost, this IS pricey for a 1 oz container. However I’ve found that if you purchase it in larger containers, the price per-ounce comes WAY down. I’ve also seen what looks like this very same bottle marketed for RC/hobby use, lubricating mechanical clocks, and as a general lubricant. Basically, this is a non-toxic lubricant that you could use on almost anything, in my opinion. In fact I read that they call it “AIM” because it’s good for Auto, Industrial, and Marine use.The bottle itself is well made, and does not leak. The small tip also makes it very easy to apply precise amounts, if you are working on small objects. A little bit of it does go a long way. So overall, I rate this non-toxic lubricant at 5 stars. Even though it is pricey, it is very convenient to use in this small bottle form, and being made in America is a big plus! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
